Reverse Click → Address

Reverse geocoding is the process of converting geographic coordinates (latitude, longitude) into a human-readable address. It is the opposite of geocoding, which converts an address into coordinates.

The tool uses the OpenStreetMap Nominatim API which is based on community-contributed OpenStreetMap data. Coverage and accuracy vary by region.

Nominatim returns the closest address found in the OpenStreetMap database to the clicked coordinates. In well-mapped urban areas results are very accurate. In rural areas or regions with less OSM coverage, results may be approximate.

Enter coordinates one at a time. For batch reverse geocoding of large datasets, the Nominatim API can be queried programmatically with appropriate rate limiting.

The Nominatim service has a rate limit of one request per second for non-commercial use. The tool enforces this automatically.
